Twisted Cotton Training Lead
Designed and used by Christa Miremadi, the Twisted Cotton Training Leads are less likely to cause painful rope burns to either horse or humans who use them than the commonly used nylon training leads. Nylon has little forgiveness and can be hazardous. Cotton has give as well as life and is softer and gentler to both horse and human. They are made in two different lengths.
14' leads are meant to be used as a daily training lead. The longer length provides the ability to reach each of the 4 Zones with ease and gives options that shorter leads do not allow.
22' leads provide enough length to work on softness and response in each of the 4 Zones and 1/4's in circles and other training patterns. It is also the approprate length to be tied as a mecate.
Rope Halters
Simple, soft rope halters are an easy, one-size-fits-all halter. These provide softness or a firm feel but those handling horses in these devices should be aware of how strong they can be when used firmly. Horses which are tied using rope halters should have a solid understanding of giving to pressure andshould not pull back.
